Re-registration - Disable property advertising

If you are going to undertake a re-registration exercise for a period of time before advertising properties then we would suggest disabling the Property advertising and Recent lets functionality.
The settings allow the removal of all property references from the website to ensure applicants don't get confused during the re-registration period.
Info
Don't forget to uncheck these settings prior to your first advertising cycle

Public portal messaging

If you want applicants to be able to submit messages from the public portal through to the back office then you need to enable the Allow new actions to be created from My Actions option. This enables the Send us a message or documents link on the My Account page:

By default the system has two action definitions pre-configured to allow applicants to either send a message through to the back office or upload a document.
  1. Send us a message
  2. Upload a document
These action definitions can be amended or new additional ones added if required.

Content

The website is WCAG 2.2 AA compliant but it is possible to break this accessibility through the addition of content. It is important to make sure any content you add is accessible.
There is a large amount of content that can be changed on the site but not all of it needs to be amended. Standard wording is used in most areas and most clients find this acceptable.
Areas that do need to be updated prior to going live are:
Both the Header and Footer are completely blank as standard so these will need to be updated to include your content and to match your organisations branding.

Homepage

You will need to add your content to the home page as by default it is completely empty. If you are doing a re-registration process it may be useful to use one set of content during the re-registration period and then change it once that has been completed and you begin advertising properties.

My personal housing plan

If you are implementing the homeless module then you need to ensure the My personal housing plan page is updated in line with your Personal Housing Plan comms template and wrapper. This page and the comms template should contain the same static content to ensure applicants get a consistent PHP generated regardless of which format they access it via.

Accessibility

The system contains two different versions of the Accessibility statement. Version 2 is the most up to date and the one that you should use.
Within Version 2 you will need to update the following sections:
  1. Organisation name
  2. Feedback contents - complete the section enclosed by []
  3. Contact contents - complete the section enclosed by []

Privacy policy

The system comes with a standard privacy policy template which can be updated with your organisations details or you can configure a re-direct to your organisations privacy policy on your main website. Putting a re-direct removes the need to keep multiple copies of the privacy policy up to date.
To configure the re-direct select 'External website redirect' from the Select a template dropdown.
